Recovered-ish From Grief with Nora McInerny

You have you ever felt grief over things besides death? I chat with the legendary Nora McInerny this week all about grief and how we can live and cope with it in our lives. Nora shares about her experience with grief, how her husband died of cancer and how that ultimately led to creating a career out of talking about difficult things most of us would rather not. We discuss the trend on TikTok where individuals grieve and cry publicly online and how we feel about it (the answer may surprise you!).

Nora and I also discuss the importance of bearing witness to your pain, how you can support others who are dealing with unimaginable grief, how empathy is a skill, how grief needs a witness and how you can support loved ones who are going through difficult things. I love this episode so much because it is not often you can talk about something SO serious and painful but also laugh so much. Hope you enjoy and if nothing else you feel less alone from listening!
