How to FOCUS in your Christian business 327

Have you experienced moments of fog in your business when everything seems out of focus?

Maybe you were wrestling the wheel out of Jesus' hands to regain "control," and the fog set in, leaving you crying out, "Lord, where are you?!"

Or maybe He was redirecting you or calling you into a bigger assignment, and you lost focus because you couldn't see the full plan ahead of you, or even beyond the first step of obedience.Similar fog happens when we're double-minded: trying to multitask between His plan and our own.

Recently, as I read the book of James, I was struck by the clarity of his instructions for overcoming that tendency to be double-minded, and Holy Spirit reminded me of the initialism He'd given me for the word FOCUS:

FocusOnChristUntilSteady

In this episode, we're digging into James 4: 7-10, and the steps to F.O.C.U.S. found there:

Submit to God.Resist the devil.Draw near to GodCleanse hands and heartsHumble yourselves

As you ponder those five simple steps, remember:

God made you ambitious, but He didn't make you for business as usual.

Business as usual looks like focusing on yourself, your plans, and your achievements.

Business as usual teaches that action is the only thing that clears fog, so work harder and work more.You weren't made for that. And Jesus will never lead you in that way!
