Learn some basics about herbalism and homesteading with Julia and Jill (@revivethewild on instagram) in this interview style episode. Jill is a folk herbalist and aspiring homesteader. After two years of college and recognizing that a conventional lifestyle wasn't the path for her, she travelled to India and Costa Rica to study up on yoga, meditation and organic farming. Upon her return to the States, Jill developed an interest in herbal medicine and devoted three years to study in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Today she spends her time working seasonally with the plants, foraging, growing and making medicine out of herbs that are available in her bioregion. When Jill isn't making herbal medicine or working on her homestead goals you'll likely find her perusing secondhand shops, seeking out treasures of old to spruce up and resell at their true value. Jill lives in Western NY with her partner Jesse where they plan on building an intentional homestead.
