When it comes to choosing curriculum, the idea can be both exciting and overwhelming! How do I choose? What's going to work the best? Self-paced or teacher/parent directed? Will my students enjoy it? Will my child be successful? What if I don't like teaching it or my students hate doing it? What works best for multi-age students?
I see you! I hear you! That's why, after 3 years, I have a very systematic process that helps me look at choosing curriculum as if it were a project with many moving pieces! I share how I use a project management board, called MeisterTask, to organize my ideas and notes. In addition, I share how I get the ball moving with very specific questions that allow me to gather enough evidence to make a good decision - even if it's not a perfect one!
