REFLECTIONS: Tinubu's Student loan Policy is a Scam, it would fail - ASUU, UNILAG, Chairman

In this episode, Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, UNILAG, Professor Kayode Adebayo reiterated that the Student loan policy proposed by President Bola Tinubu would fail as government has not shown sufficient interest in enshrining transparency.

Calling for a scrap of the loan policy which he said was an excuse to increase fees, Adebayo said Tinubu appeared to lack the right ideas and will to improve education and the economy of Nigeria.

He also vehemently opposed the idea of creating new higher institutions as proposed by some lawmakers while existing ones remain underfunded.

The Union leader said the administration of President Tinubu must be held accountable for the welfare of the people as the recent purchase of vehicles for lawmakers and public servants shows that the Government is not as broke as it claims to be.
