In the present age, believers experience an imperfect fulfillment by faith, apprehending the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ through the gospel. The ultimate fulfillment, however, is the beatific vision at the consummation, where faith gives way to sight and the glorified saints will enjoy the direct, unclouded presence of God forever.
