How to build an organic beauty products company with Saru Organics Founder Mkamboi Mwakale

In this episode, I am speaking with A Kenyan native, Mkamboi Mwakale founder of Saru Organics, beauty products company. Her journey begun accidentally when her 4-year-old daughter kept on falling sick and was prescribed antibiotics on multiple occasions. Her Nigerian friend suggested she try Moringa powder as a supplement for her daughter. She saw significant improvement in her daughter's health and that was the birth of what is now Saru Organics.

We discussed her early journey into entrepreneurship, funding her first products, how to source raw materials, her love for farmers, the importance of leading a team with transparency, and how she takes care of her own mental health while leading a team, especially in this pandemic.

You can learn more about her brand and purchase products at https://saruorganics.com/
