Join us as we listen to today's episode on "Gird up the loins of Your Mind" by Rev. Dr. Joseph Nelson.
The teaching focuses on developing spiritual discipline, responsibility, and alignment with God’s purpose.
The message emphasises that comfort can weaken focus, so believers must learn to rise above comfort in order to stay spiritually alert.
Using Exodus 27:20–21, Rev. Nelson explains that every believer has a role in keeping the spiritual fire burning, just as the priests were responsible for maintaining the lamp in the tabernacle.
He illustrates spiritual refinement through the process of making olive oil either by beating or pressing, to show that producing value often requires pressure, discipline, and sacrifice.
Drawing from Romans 12:1 and Isaiah 48:5–7, he teaches that prophetic words must not just be heard but become part of your language and daily confession.
Like Daniel (Daniel 9:1), believers must pray themselves into what God has spoken. Prayer is highlighted as the most essential way to participate in God’s work.
Rev. Nelson also stresses that prayer is relational, not transactional. It is not meant to bend God to our desires but to align us with His will, allowing us to volunteer for His divine agenda.
