For Buffy’s 18th birthday, what should be a milestone of celebration twists into terror when her Slayer powers begin to fade, leaving her exposed and vulnerable. Turning to Giles for answers, she learns he’s been secretly drugging her as part of an ancient Slayer rite of passage—a brutal test that pits her, powerless, against a deranged vampire in a fight for survival.
