After the season 6 episode "Seeing Red," a lot of Buffy fans turned away from the show because of Tara's unexpected death and an attempted sexual assault that shook the viewers in real time - and continues to be deeply disturbing today. But it's not the first time sexual assault has been featured on Buffy, so we thought we'd delve into why this particular scene was so upsetting and why we're over sexual assault as a plot device.
