Summary
In this episode of the A to Z of Burnout series, we focus on B for Balance. Rich and Andrea discuss the significance of finding balance in life, sharing our own personal experiences, including the stress of moving house and the need for self-care. The episode emphasises the value of seeking support, normalising struggles, and recognising our self-worth beyond external validation. We discuss the impact of over apologising and the importance of living by one's values.
We do our best to deep dive in to what finding balance means, exploring the complexities of balancing work, social life, families, and self-care. We emphasise the need for compassion towards ourselves and how we shouldn't aim for perfection, as well as the importance of finding joy in our lives while managing our responsibilities. These conversations as always are informal and offer find their own direction but we hope the authentic approach to our discussions help normalise a lot of the struggles that we face as complex human beings.
