Brook Berringer Made Christ First

BROOK BERRINGER

Here in Nebraska I think many of us sports fans are familiar with Brook Berringer. A great legendary quarterback. Was a backup player ended up starting when our starter, Tommie Frazier, went down with a knee injury in 1994. But Brook helped lead our team to a national championship. In 1995 (his senior year), Frazier beat him out for the starting position and Brook rode the bench his senior year after having a stellar junior year. But Brook became a Christian and he ignited the love of Christ across this great state to so many people in the midst of not playing very much. He really understood chapter 3 verse 30 of the gospel of John where John the Baptist says – He (Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease. Is that how you’re living your life? What a great example Brook Berringer was to make Christ first.
