Running the Right Way

Running the Right Way

Years ago in the Rose Bowl, California played Georgia Tech for the national championship. A California defensive end picked up a loose fumble and started running toward the end zone, thinking he was going to score a touchdown for his team. Problem was, he ran sixty yards the wrong way. He was finally tackled on his own one-yard line. Georgia Tech got a safety on the next play and that proved to be the margin of victory. His play was the most costly play of the game. People asked Riegels after the game, “Why did you run the wrong way?” He said, “I thought I was going the right way.” That’s true of life. There are many who think they are running the right way, but they’re not following Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 Jesus says – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but through Me.” Jesus Christ is the only way. Are you sure you are following Jesus Christ?
