This review explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in detecting dental pulp space using cone-beam CT scans. By analyzing 13 studies, the authors found that most AI models were highly accurate at identifying the pulp chamber but struggled with pinpointing the root canal. The review emphasizes the need for standardized and validated AI models to ensure reliability in real-world clinical settings. While AI shows great potential to revolutionize endodontics, more research is needed to fine-tune these models and fully assess their effectiveness in practice.
