San Diego Sector Gets New Border Patrol Chief

Justin M. De La Torre, a San Diego native, has been appointed as the new Chief Patrol Agent for the U.S. Border Patrols San Diego Sector. With extensive experience and a background in the agency since 2000, De La Torre takes over from acting Chief Patrol Agent Jeffrey Stalnaker, who remains as Deputy Chief Patrol Agent. De La Torres leadership will oversee the sectors critical border and coastline, spanning sixty miles and one hundred fourteen miles, respectively. His prior experience as Chief Patrol Agent for the Yuma Sector and familiarity with the region will be instrumental in his new role.
