Gorilla Tuesday is a Chicago rock band fronted by songwriter Jimmy Brown with guitarist Matt Shack, drummer Mick Smith, and bassist Steve Trifilio. Since April 2023, the band has produced songs running the gamut from indie pop to folk-rock. Their spirited acoustic rhythms combine with heavy electric solos to create engaging takes on each genre the band dips into.
In theme, Gorilla Tuesday tackles the fantasies of fresh romance and the gallows of grisly executions alike, aiming to above all never bore the listener. Gorilla Tuesday’s first EP, Sorry I Dropped Your Fortune Cookie, released 3/21/2024. They also released a new single "Gone, Gone" in mid-November 2024. Remember, more gorillas, more Tuesdays–every show!
