Shade Force is a scripted sci-fi fantasy comedy audio-series (podcast) created by RJ Tolson. The story follows the titular USS Octopus (BAS-1925), a small-level AI exploratory space vessel in the Galactic League of Planets (GLP), a 26th-century interstellar alliance of Earth and many other planets. Within the GLP is an organization called the "Shade Force", whose members spend half of their month protecting the timeline from meddling and the other half exploring space. After arriving on the Octopus, Lumi, a fresh Shade Force academy graduate meets the newly formed ragtag "C" team, made up of misfits that excel in their occupations but have unconventional personalities. Lumi must lead his alien team members as they protect the timeline while exploring space and discovering delicious new galactic bagels.
