Sara Schmidt releases ”Dear Beatle People”
It’s been years in the making, but Sara Schmidt will be releasing her comprehensive history of The Beatles North American Fan Clubs, a work entitled Dear Beatle People at the New York Metro Fest for Beatles Fans, 31 March- 2 April. This week, Sara sat down with Recipe Records author Lanea Stagg and John Lennon Series author Jude Southerland Kessler to discuss this beautiful hardback collector’s book that includes over 100 unique photos!!! They talked about the difference between ”sanctioned” clubs and ”independent” fan clubs, the time that two rival Dallas clubs worked together for the lads, the ”first” fan club in North America, and so much more! Sara was surprised to be joined by brilliant cover artist Eric Cash, her meticulous editor Janet Davis, and her gifted layout artist and advisor Amy McGrath Hughes. You’ll enjoy this informative, fast-paced video episode. Join us!
