Hey Shelvies! In this week’s episode, we meet Cliff Lewis, a debut author whose climate-themed MG book brings time travel and science together. Ever since a young Cliff Lewis played Power Rangers in the playground with his friends, he’s had a love for story. He’s also had a love for weird things, which he defines as “quirky, in a Kate Bush sort of way.” When he started writing, he knew he wanted to incorporate some of that quirkiness into his story--that’s where the Lanthorns come in. But he also added some “wild” into it, in the form of a deep-space planet and the fantastic town of Londonshire. And what resulted was a Wild, Weird, and Wonderful Cliff Lewis shelved story, which all the hosts now want to read! Stay tuned for an audio file of the first chapter of Cliff’s new book after the interview, and then share your own story! We’re looking forward to hearing about your shelved book!
