Andrew started his writing career fresh out of law school after realizing that instead of being a lawyer he would prefer to become an author. His first few stories were YA books that he couldn’t finish because of plotting issues. But after registering for a writing class and learning about story structure, he had an idea for an MG story, and well, the rest is history. Our conversation with Andrew also leads us into a wonderful discussion about the necessity for sensitivity readers and greater diversity in publishing.
