We are the Choir of Our Lady of the Rosary in the parish of St. John, on the island of Barbados. Ours is a vibrant and active music ministry and we have created this podcast to focus on the psalms in the Catholic liturgy. Most of the musical settings are original compositions and we feel that they reflect the rhythm and flavour of our Caribbean culture. Our hope is that through this podcast we can share our love of the psalms with a wider global community.

Cf. 1 Th 4: 14; 1 Cor 15: 22 Just as Jesus died and has risen again, so through Jesus God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep; and as in Adam all die, so also in Christ will all be brought to life. Responsorial Psalm 129(130) Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord. Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord, Lord, hear my voice! O let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleading. Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord. If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, Lord, who would survive? But with you is found forgiveness: for this we revere you. Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord. My soul is waiting for the Lord. I count on his word. My soul is longing for the Lord more than watchman for daybreak. (Let the watchman count on daybreak and Israel on the Lord.) Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord.
