Sisters In Conversation is hosted by Tebello Motshwane and is an extension of the Sister In Law platform. The podcast focuses on profiling women in the legal profession with the purpose of celebrating their achievements and amplifying their voices. We touch on the challenges Black women have overcome in the profession, issues of transformation and representation, and how they navigate the legal industry in general. S5E20 - Nothemba Sonjica, Legal Officer (Commission for Gender Equality)

Nothemba Jessica Sonjica was born and raised in the Eastern Cape. She obtained her law degree from the University of Fort Hare.

She is an admitted attorney with right of appearance in the High Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and Constitutional Court. Nothemba is currently studying towards her Masters in Human Rights Protection and she is also an Accredited Mediator. She describes herself as a gender activist and her passion for gender equality is what ultimately paved the way for her current role as a Legal Officer at the Commission for Gender Equality.
