Born and raised in Munich, cJ Rusky started to discover his passion for music in the early 90s after visiting several Afro-Cosmic events as a teenager. The wide range and style of this underground music, as well as the skilful mixing of Italian DJs such as Baldelli, Loda and DJ Yano, had a profound influence on him, and he took his first steps as a DJ in 2000 – first locally in his adopted home of Augsburg, then throughout Germany and finally internationally, mixing global music from many genres. As his musical development progressed, he increasingly focused on the broad variety of electronic subgenres that were rapidly evolving, like Organic House, Slow Techno and Slow Psy – always combined with elements from global and world music. He currently focuses on Hypnotic Techno, Rominimal, Dub Techno and Indie Dance, while always continuing to follow his own motto: music has many genres, but no boundaries.
