This is the first time we meet Blanche's old fashioned southern (aka racist) father as he comes to town to announce that he is becoming a singer. Meanwhile Sophia puts a curse on their neighbor that we've never heard of before & never hear of again as Blanche leaves her tenants to deal with her property damage.
