Hi! My name is Zoya Acuña, and I am a senior. At 7, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (UC), an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). This diagnosis was hard and scary. But, I believe it is important to begin conversations about IBD that aim to understand more about the pathogenesis and how to best support patients suffering from both IBD and mental health disorders. So, I created this podcast where we will hear from patients, a psychologist, and a gastrointestinal doctor to allow us to learn about signs, symptoms, and management techniques for IBD. https://sites.google.com/view/soyouhaveibd

A Reflection.

Thank you so much for allowing me to share my experience with IBD. I am proud of myself for reaching a point where I felt comfortable and confident in sharing my story, and I hope you were able to learn a thing or two.

Thank you for sticking with me until the end. Share this with anyone that you think needs it.
