We’ve chatted about favors, wedding registries, how to ask for money in a way that doesn’t make aunt Karen cry, but there are so many other gift giving trends that have become an expectation leading up to your big day . From the mother of the bride to the ushers that help pass out programs, a couple’s generosity and gratitude is often expressed with a little token or gift. People have showered bridal party members with gift boxes and given their partner a special something before saying I do.

But are these things necessary? Do you HAVE to give a gift to everyone that has helped along the way, or will it seem totally rude if you skip it?
