Somewhere on the Screen
Christopher Moss, Nicholas Westemeyer, & Joseph Reese
20 episodes

On Somewhere on the Screen is a film and television podcast hosted by three friends and artsy people -- Nicholas Westemeyer, Joseph Reese, and Christopher Moss. Each cycle, we'll choose an upcoming film or TV show to cover and choose three pieces to examine leading up to which we think will be vital to understanding the film. Then, we'll finish the cycle by talking about the big release in resplendent glory and see just how far off we were with our predictions of what would be important and more importantly, what we thought of the thing!

Above all else, we're here to have fun and enjoy talking about things we love with people we love. Come and join us as we keep our mind in the clouds and our eyes Somewhere on the Screen!

Planning Cycle 3

We're back with a planning episode! If you've never heard one of these before, we've always gated this behind the paywall of our Patreon (patreon.com/somewhereonthescreen) but with our new plans moving forward, these will be up for everyone! Hooray!

On this bonus episode we talk about the new cycle and what we're going to cover with a bit of "why" involved.

If you're one of those "I don't know want to know before I hear it!" don't read any further but if you're just here to know what you need to study...

This cycle we're going to be covering the new Frankenstein film by Guillermo del Toro! del Toro is an amazing director (and quietly directed the best superhero film evey made) so we thought we'd check it out.

To get you ready though, we're also going to discuss:

1) The Shape of Water - Guillermo del Toro's phenomenal Oscar-winning film which is pretty clearly a precursor to this film.

2.) Mary Shelly's Frankenstien - The Frankenstien film which is most people's touchstone when thinking of Frankenstien on the big screen.

3.) A double feature!!! Frankenstien (1931)/The Bride of Frankenstien -- we wanted to throw in a comedy (okay...Chris demanded we throw in a comedy) but apparently you need to watch the original to understand the jokes...so that's what we're gonna do!

Thanks for sticking with us and we can't wait to be back in your ears with more amazing conversations about what's Somewhere on the Screen!
