Luke 2:19–21
19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
Mary quietly reflected on what God was doing, while the shepherds returned praising God for what they had seen and heard. Encountering Jesus transformed fear into worship and uncertainty into praise. Their weakness was not removed, but their perspective was changed. God’s power did not eliminate their circumstances; it gave them confidence in His faithfulness.
Worship often grows out of reflection on God’s work in our weakness. Take time to remember what God has done. Let gratitude shape your response, even when life remains difficult.
Lord, help me treasure Your work in my heart and respond with praise. Turn my weakness into worship and my uncertainty into trust. Amen.
