Crisis Averted - Episode 9

This episode is a continuation of the 2020-21 Texas Power Crisis discussed in Episode 8. How can we best apply what we know about resilience to ensure that we can make the most out of a situation? Especially when so many people are affected by said situation all at once?

In Episode 8, we heard from two survivors, Sheila and Loretta. We learned how they appreciated the services of the Austin Disaster Relief Network(ADRN) and were committed to do all they could to ensure that as many citizens of Texas got the help they needed. In this episode, we'll hear from another survivor, Levi. We will observe how Levi was flexible and open to change as he had to evacuate his apartment and flee to a hotel with limited supply within a moment's notice.

Once again, I would like to acknowledge Lauren Slusher's website for providing me with the information that I have discussed in this video. If you would like to read about these survivors or Lauren Slusher herself, I've listed the link to her personal page below. This link will direct users to Lauren Slusher's piece on Levi. These pages also contain pictures of the survivors and some of their possessions.
