Jesper Söder är elevmentorn från Trollhättan som anslöt sig till de kurdiska YPG-trupperna för att kriga mot terrorgruppen Daesh (IS). Johan Fredriksson är utrikesreporter på Nyheterna/TV4. Han har varit verksam som journalist i över 25 år och bevakat krig, konflikter och katastrofer. Tillsammans har de skrivit boken När världen tittade bort.
