Spoken Wordplay Podcast is for students to take a 15-minutes break allowing yourself to focus on mindfulness deep breathing exercises, repeating positive "I Am" affirmations repetitions and listening to relaxing 8 to 10hz Alpha brainwaves meditation music to help change the way you subconsciously think about yourselves to ultimately improving your quality of life within 21 days or longer to become a better you.

Ms. Tonya Michelle Wilkerson is the motivational head instructor of Spoken Wordplay Podcast⁠⁠ and my purpose in life is to provide students with mental, social, physcial, emotional support and daily words of encouragement. The goal is to help students with the process of intervention, development and prevention online support services inside and outside of school resources. So, I am calling for partners like you parents or guardians, school teachers, counselors, administrators, physical therapist, psychologists & social workers to referr your students in need of a online support system. Because of fewer school resources available for special education services, support and protection, unfortunately, students will experience going through a very challenging time being able to stay focus on learning new student classroom objectives, comprehending reading assignments, understanding math problems, studying for test, completing classroom project activities and more. Every since the pandemic, many students were going through social isolation, worrying about their family and friends’ health and relationships, feeling of grief, fatigue, anxiety, stressed, depressed, angry, low self-esteem, fears, mental health with borderline personality disorders daily. Students can benefit from listening and repeating aloud or to yourself Spoken Wordplay positive "I Am" Affirmations repetitions and Mindfulness Guided Meditation as follows: improve self-esteem, change negative thought patterns to positive ones, help motivate students to concentrate more in finishing their school projects and work assignments, control negative feelings of anger, frustrations as well as influence your subconscious mind to access new beliefs to overcome bad habits. Also, students can benefit from listening to Alpha brainwaves music to help improve creative thinking, reduce anxiety, lower stress, and decrease depression.


Recommendations: make sure you are in a quiet headspace away from any distractions with eyes closed, if possible. The best meditation position for beginners is sitting on floor with legs crisscross or kneeling on your knees, sitting upright (chair or sofa) or standing (slightly bent knees with feet apart) and exercising with eyes wide open (walking or jogging) will help keep you awake and focus. However, if you are unable to do any of those meditative positions, then try lying down flat on your back (floor or bed) with a thin pillow under your head, knees are bent, and feet are flat on floor. The best hand, arm & finger positions: hands are relaxed on leg or lap faced upward with fingers slightly extended or arms mid chest height pretending you are holding a round big balloon in front of you with hands relaxed & fingers slightly extended. Observe the feeling of deep breathing while your mind and body become fully aware of your surroundings, free your mind of any negative thoughts and relax your body. After repeating positive "I Am" Affirmations repetitions and listening to relaxing Alpha brainwave music you now allow your subconscious mind to access new beliefs. For best results, repeat and listen for 21 days or until you start noticing a powerful transformation has happen to the way you think about yourself such as improvements in your self-esteem, learning abilities and behaviors.

Welcome students to yuor first semester of back to school activities at Spoken Wordplay Podcast. I am your chosen head instructor Ms. Tonya Michelle Wilkerson speaking from the heart with a motivational message. The month of September is recognized as Attendance Awareness Month. Students, maintaining a good attendance record in school and in college is important for academic success, landing a decent paying job and living your best life. This is why you should avoid missing classes and skipping school because you will fall behind in your course work, group projects, class work assignments and final exams. Students, so in support for your mental, emotional, social and physical well beings, I am calling for all partners like you teachers, educators, professors, parents, instructors, and schools administrators and dean to create a supportive & engaging learning environments by providing interactive teaching, relevant content, and personalized learning experiences.


Partners, here are some key strategies to improve students attendance for 2025-26 school year.

  1. Start by building strong relationships like partnering with community resources to address barriers of transportation and mental health.
  2. Creating a welcoming and engaging school culture like implementing data-driven monitoring ; early intervention for chronic absenteeism, offering incentive for good attendance and providing target support for personal challenges.
  3. Communicate effectively with families & students like send-back-to-school letters to provide information on attendance policies and collaborate with parents to maintain daily routines & address potential obstacles.
