Established in 2019, Pitch Better is a start-up focused on developing and scaling small businesses through market research and capacity building. Pitch Better Canada is the result of a dynamic collaboration between business strategist and marketing guru, Adeela Carter-Charles and prolific event producer and sponsorship specialist, Amoye Henry.
These two successful female entrepreneurs have laid the groundwork to bridge the gap between female-led start-ups and their means to acquiring capital through grants and investments. Using data collected in a leading-edge research project conducted across Canada, Pitch Better has identified some of the key tools needed to help female entrepreneurs “Pitch Better” and increase their opportunities to secure capital for their businesses. By connecting innovative Black female entrepreneurs with seasoned professionals via workshops, talks and coaching sessions, Pitch Better has pioneered the path for growth and success for Canada’s most promising women-led small businesses.
