Episode 51: Surrender & Flow with Jeanette Hendrix

In this episode, we’re joined by our friend Jeanette Hendrix, a teacher by day and an artist in her free time. Jeanette shares how she began her healing journey from grief by embracing her inner artist—a process that not only helped her connect with her creative identity but also led to her selling some of her artwork.

We dive into how Jeanette’s art has allowed her to surrender, flow, and tap into a different part of herself beyond teaching, as well as how it’s helped her celebrate aspects of herself and her heritage she hadn’t fully explored before.

Finally, we discuss the importance of encouraging the next generation to embrace their creative side—now more than ever.

If you enjoyed this conversation with Jeanette, follow her on Instagram, listen to her podcast, The Chronicles of an Introverted Black Woman, check out her art shop, and if you're in NYC, check out her upcoming gallery show on November 2!
