Debbie Ausburn is a social worker turned lawyer who has been working with traumatized children for over 40 years. Her experience in this field started when she was a preteen helping her parents with their summer camp and church ministries.  Throughout her career, she has served in various roles, including juvenile court probation officer/social worker, group home parent, criminal prosecutor, non-profit volunteer, and Board member, and attorney defending youth-serving organizations.  Her most important roles, however, have been as a foster parent and stepparent, through which she has managed to collect seven children and ten grandchildren.
