In episode 5 of the Supreme Court Opinions Read podcast, we read the opinion in TikTok Inc. v Garland. At issue in this case, whether a law (colloquially referred to as the "TikTok ban") conditioning US operations of the TikTok platform on qualified divestiture by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, violates the First Amendment. The challenge was brought by both TikTok Inc. and a number of US TikTok users.
