#23 How to succeed as a Chief Innovation Officer. Martin Daniels, Chief Innovation Officer and deputy CEO Synsam Group
Ever wondered what a Chief Innovation Officer does and how to succeed in the role? Martin Daniels has the answers!
Martin is a former Boston Consulting Group (BCG) management consultant. For the last 8 years he has been involved in transforming Synsam Group from drab to superhero. Synsam just went public on the Stockholm stock exchange valued at around EUR 925 million.
Synsam is one of Europe's leading players in the optics industry and offers solutions in both Eye Health and Eye Fashion.
In this episode, Sandra Bourbon had a talk with Martin about how Synsam has increased its business with popular subscriptions for glasses and how increased revenue can go hand in hand with sustainability. Martin also shares his best tips when it comes to how to succeed as a Chief Innovation Officer, how Synsam does to constantly challenge themselves and competitors, how they are organized (instead of silos) and how they pilot ideas quickly to stay ahead of competitors.
