You are probably picturing everyone’s favorite Koopa crushing hero, Mario, and I don’t blame you. But in this instance, on this day, I am talking about Poi: Explorer’s Edition. Developed, admirably, by two person development team PolyKid and published by Alliance, Poi: Explorer’s Edition sees you take control of one of two orphaned siblings, as they are taken in by a retired explorer to go on their very own adventure. This platformer takes heavy inspiration from Super Mario 64 and Sunshine, with a move set feeling strikingly similar to the mustachioed plumber. You will span a colorful universe, visiting several unique worlds in search of the coveted ‘Explorer medallions’ (This game’s power star).
