When you think ‘video games,’ you probably think of Super Mario and his various romps across the mushroom kingdom and beyond. And for good reason; Super Mario games have been in the forefront of the industry for decades. Whether it was leading the charge of a gaming revolution with the ‘Nintendo Entertainment System’ or defining the modern 3D platformer with ‘Super Mario 64,’ the overall-wearing hero is synonymous with trailblazing game design. Nowhere is that more on display than in ‘Super Mario Galaxy.’
Originally released for the Nintendo Wii in 2007, Super Mario Galaxy sees you take to the cosmos in a gravity bending adventure. In September 2020, Nintendo would release a special, limited time only port of Super Mario Galaxy, along with Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario 64. Dubbed ‘Super Mario 3D All Stars,’ the game was only available for only six months in celebration of Mario’s 35th anniversary. It was (And still remains) a controversial move by the gaming giant, and the only way to buy the game today is via resellers like eBay and others.
