These recordings for Places occurred at a spot called West Thompson Damn, Connecticut. The first of three locations was just outside of a picnic area, the second was at the shore of a little peninsula jutting out near the damn (I move the recorder to a second location after a bit), and the third was by a flagpole near the parking lot. You can always hear the nearby road traffic and Blue Jays, among other birds, such as American Goldfinches and a few different sparrows.
