Healing to Help Others (ft. Jhorna)

Fellow TCK Jhorna, mother, wife, and embodiment coach, shares her journey being a transracial adoptee and how her experience led her to help other TCKs.

Jhorna is a Mother, a Wife and an intuitive Mindset and Embodiment Coach. As a TCK and a transracial adoptee, growing up in Eastern Africa and the Indian subcontinent, Jhorna grappled with her own identity, sense of belonging, and where her “I” fit into the many collective groups she has had the privilege to be a part of. Upon moving to the United States, her passport country, she felt ill-equipped to face the challenges of cultural adjustment and the realities of racism both in her community and in her work life. After the birth of her children, she fell into a severe depression and through this painful journey, connected to her intuitive wisdom in order to heal the complex trauma that comes from continually feeling like an outsider.
Today, she bridges a 20-year professional background in identity development with the art of spiritual connection. Through self compassion and channeled embodied practices, she helps women leaders and other change makers heal their wounds of trauma and marginalization, create inner belonging and connection, and in doing so step confidently into the clarity of their own vision in order to “be the change they want to see in the world” (Gandhi). Jhorna deeply believes that TCKs are one of the groups in the world today with the unique intel to build the necessary bridges within humanity at this time. She is passionate about co-creating with others who want to access their inner gifts to transmute all forms of oppression and suffering and build a world of sustainable creative expression and joyful connection.
