It’s not about what we can do for God, but about whether what we do originates from Him. Nancy invites us to ask: Are we simply changing the subject of our interests, or have we truly shifted the source of our power? This is a call to stop relying on soul strength and instead allow the cross to bring death to what is merely natural, so resurrection life can flow. The episode is a strong call to discern the origin of our energy and let God’s light search us—because only what begins in Him will remain.
