Jesus' Mission (Luke 4:14-30)

THCC Husk

Speaker: Tony Uddin

Sermon Recorded on: 16/02/2025

Main Passage: Luke 4:14-30

Reflection:

  • Tony pointed out that Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit - this involved prayer, fasting and resisting temptation. What might it look like for you?

  • Jesus read from Isaiah and said that He was the fulfilment of what He had read. Do we read the Bible by placing Jesus at the centre or do we have a tendency to place ourselves in that place?

  • The Gospel is such good news! Jesus sets the prisoner free, He opens blind eyes and releases those who are oppressed. What has He done in your life? Why don't you find some ways this week to share this great news with others?
