As the Christmas chaos fades, I always make time for another crucial ritual: the year-end review.

That time between Christmas and New Year, when everything slows down, is gold dust. I use it to look back at the entire year, tally up every piece of new business we created, and genuinely give myself a pat on the back for the hard work.

It's a hugely motivating exercise—and one that always throws up surprises.
