In this episode I talk about the peril of self-sufficiency. In the book of Deuteronomy 8:11-14, Moses warns the Israelites about forgetting the Lord by not keeping His commandments once they attained wealth and prosperity. The books of Chronicles and Kings also record about the King Uzziah who started so well with God, but once he became prosperous and his kingdom was firmly established, forgot the Lord and pride overtook him. David almost fell to the same trap.
Paul cautions Timothy that godliness with contentment is great gain.
Do you ever pray and ask God for direction even the most mundane tasks? Do you rely on God for strength when facing even the tiniest of challenges?
Proverbs3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths."
Let this be your matra in life.
