"Slavery is not African history, slavery interrupted African history" - Mutabaruka. Couldn't have said it better. But it is a part and a very impactful one at that in Africa's recent history. It has sometimes been over-exaggerated and other times understudied or not studied at all.
On this episode, we talked in a historic manner the transatlantic slave trade and the understudied trans-Saharan slave trade. We are not historians nor are we qualified to talk in any academic circles on this matter. We just have conversations and talk about things through what we read and know in a casual way.
