
According to a Brit + Co report, an average Millennial (25-34)spends around $2,008 on coffee a year. Now, that may not reflect your spending habits but now think where did purchase your coffee… Just imagine if you spent half of that in a black-owned cafe rather than Starbucks.
Many black-owned cafes are popping up around the nation. Philly has @UncleBobbies, Oakland has @RedBayCoffee, and New York has @Serengeti, and now the recently open @GinJanCafe. I sat down with one of the owners of @GinJanCafe Mohammed Diallo to chat about their inspiration to create Ginjan.
