Episode 2: Appointment in Multiple Related Arbitrations and Arbitrator's Duty to Disclose - Insights from the English Supreme Court in Halliburton v. Chubb

This episode borders on independence and impartiality in international arbitration. In this episode, I shall examine the issue of the arbitrator’s duty to disclose appointments in multiple related arbitrations while also taking insight from the English Supreme Court’s decision in Halliburton v. Chubb. In this episode, I shall answer questions like, can an arbitrator consider or deliberate on repeat appointments multiple arbitrations with related subject matter without promptly disclosing the same to the parties? Should this non-disclosure be grounds for setting aside the award made (if any)?
