Gaverne Bennett is a teacher, social worker and creator of timelines. Born and brought up in the East End of London, he has taught at a number of local schools and has worked with students with special educational needs and to help children in pupil referral units get back into mainstream education. He has created award-winning timelines for The Guardian, the Institute of Technology and Engineering and the British Library, on subjects ranging from Black literature to Black history and Black scientists. He has recently completed an MSc in Social Work, with distinction and now combines social work with research.
