Episode 31 | Courtney Merrill Moffat |

In Episode 31, Courtney Merrill shares her story with Kylee. Courtney is a therapist that previously specialized in teens and now works in grief. Courtney & Kylee have been friends for years and have, in some ways, lived parallel lives.

ABOUT OUR GUEST: COURTNEY MERRILL

Courtney Merrill is a licensed marriage and family therapist with degrees from Purdue and Brigham Young University. In over two decades of professional experience, she has worked directly with hundreds of individuals and families navigating complex situations. She worked in residential treatment for adolescents and young adults as a therapist, Clinical Director. Admissions and Outreach Director, Therapeutic Consultant, and Executive Director.  She has also supervised dozens of therapists and other professionals and spoken at various conferences and events all over the US.

In her personal life, professional world, and as a leader in community women’s groups, Courtney has been moved by opportunities to connect with and support others, in particular as they confront all kinds of sensitive losses that lead to a lot of silent suffering. Now running her own private practice, she is passionate about providing a space for an empathetic witness to these experiences, while offering professional, effective guidance and strategies to help clients live more joyfully in a world where their loss exists.

Courtney is a former triathlete, breast cancer survivor, occasional lyricist for her super talented musician husband, and cheerleader for her incredibly active and fabulous daughter.  She spends her free time playing games, attending the theatre, skiing, gardening, cooking, and riding her bike around her neighborhood.
