
It's the start of a new year, and if you're planning to run a marathon this year it's probably already at the forefront of your mind. Completing a marathon is no easy feat, and if you're going for it this year, you are amazing! However, fuelling right is such a fundamental part of performance. I'm here to break down what you need to know to make sure you're getting the right nutrition to get the most out of your training.
This is part one of two, where we focus on the basics - macros, micros, supplements and hydration. In part two, I'll talk more specifically around pre- , during and post-run fuelling strategies for long runs.
